Carolina Hurricanes...20 pointsAlthough there still isn't much going right for the Hurricanes in this rebuilding season, at least Carolina has finally begun to improve. They picked up three points in four games on a brutal road trip this week, playing the current number one (Washington), two (Pittsburgh), three (New Jersey), and six (Ottawa) teams in the Eastern Conference.Ray Whitney and Tim Gleason have also stepped up and taken the leadership role of guiding their disoriented, thrown-together units through tough times. A Friday-Saturday, away-home back-to-back with Florida could give the 'Canes a jump into climbing back up in the Southeast Division standings, too. . Call me crazy, but I love watching Vince Young when he’s at his best.Unfortunately, I got my first true glimpse of that (as far as Young at the NFL level) when he pretty much single-handily took control of the game to lead his Tennessee Titans to a victory over the Houston Texans.Damn it, Vince; why did you have to ruin Houston’s season I understand the Texans passed you up back in the day, but they did it with the best intentions. We all should have seen it coming.People have called Young stupid and said he can’t handle learning NFL formations and said he would never be able to run an offense at the pro level.Guess all those guys were wrong, because he’s doing what he used to do at the University of Texas on a weekly basis during the best season of every year (admit it, we all love college football).Being a Baylor fan and bleeding BU-green (with a strong mixture of Duke-blue during the college basketball season), I got to see Young and the Horns beat the Bears time and time again; and I’ll never forget his title run with Texas.Young was honestly the best of the bests when he played at the NCAA level; and now he’s proving he can do it in the NFL.Regardless of the Titan’s poor overall record, the only reason Tennessee has anything to be happy about is solely because of Young and his rise from the depths of the NFL dungeon of doom.Right now, Young looks like one of the best quarterbacks in all of professional football.Granted, he may not always win pretty, but he usually gets the job done. With a combination of gridiron smarts in terms of tucking the ball and running with it (which he seemed to do every freaking time against the Texans when the Titans faced a third-down decision) and crisp passing, Young is taking his sweet game to the next level. It’s about time the Texas legend reminded the world how great he can really be.Congratulations, Vince; I really hope you keep up the great work and continue to succeed in the NFL.And Vince: nothing against Matt Schaub, but would you consider coming to Houston someday Denton Ramsey may be reached via email at . Enough is enough. This is the National Hockey League. This is not your high school or college team.Working hard is just part of the equation; finishing is the answer.I am sick and tired of hearing "how hard" the Rangers have worked.
Working hard is great, it's something that every NHL player should be doing. When you are at the professional level in any sport, working hard should not be something that is praised; it should be expected. You know who worked hard Blair Betts worked hard So did Freddie Sjostrom and Petr Prucha Paul Mara worked very hard, as did Brendan Shanahan. So how come Betts, Sjo, and Prucha aren't on the Rangers second lineWhat makes them any differentother than millions of dollars that isthan Chris Drury, Chris Higgins, and Ryan Callahan What makes Paul Mara expandable and Michal Rozsival or Wade Redden notAll I hear every broadcast is how hard players like Ryan Callahan and Chris Drury are working How Chris Higgins is really putting in the effort. Well, that's nice, but how bout they put in something elsegoals.Petr Prucha worked hard every single shift he was on the iceall hereceived was more time on the pine.Paul Mara worked his bearded butt off night in and night out. How ya doin' MontrealAt least Betts' role was filled very nicely. NEW YORK (Reuters) - Intuitive Surgical Inc (ISRG.O) tumbled about 19 percent on Wednesday after the company issued a disappointing fourth-quarter revenue forecast. Unable to build on last weeks blowout win over Rockford, the KiXX fell behind Milwaukee 10-0 Saturday night and were never quite able to navigate their way back, eventually falling to the Wave 27-6.

KiXX actually didnt find the back of the opposing net until the 3:28 mark of the second stanza when forward Adauto Neto scored on a solo strike. Unfortunately, the offense then remained silent until the third period when Ricardinho took advantage of a shootout opportunity, scoring a goal with 39 seconds left on clock.Milwaukee forwards Brett Wiesner and Marco Terminesi led the Wave attack with hat tricks in the club's most productive offensive night of the young season, with the team also snapping a two-game slide slide. Following another pair of road match-ups, Philadelphia will play its historic first home game at the Liacouras Center on the campus of Temple University Saturday, Jan 9, when they host the Rockford Rampage at 7 p.m. Season and group ticket packages for the KiXX are available now by calling 1-888-888-KiXX. The next chance for KiXX fans to see the team will be at a special "Meet the Team" event at the Liacouras Center this Thursday, Dec 17, from 7-9 p.m. This function is open to the public, and fans will be able to meet KiXX players and dance team members as well as get their autographs.
