Roy Halladay was in Philadelphia today with his agent, which likely will signify the former Toronto Blue Jays' ace arrival in Philadelphia and former ace Cliff Lee's departure. The report was cited on ESPN .Cliff, we hardly knew ya.Seattle is the third team involved.Along with Lee, according to Sport Radio 610-WIP on the Howard Eskin show, prospect Dominic Brown will be part of the deal from the Phillies.I am not sure who Seattle gives up, but they probably get Brown in the deal. What this comes down to is that while Halladay wants a long-term deal, Lee wants to test the market when he becomes a free agent after the 2010 season.Lee was 7-4 with the Phillies and was outstanding in the postseason and World Series.Lee is scheduled to make $9 million this year, which will go a long way to pay Halladay's scheduled $20 million a year as part of a five-year $100 million contract.I have some disappointment in losing Lee, but realize that you couldn't take on both salaries.Joe Blanton could also be moved to clear out more salary. That would potentially leave a rotation of Halladay, Hamels, Happ, and a yet-to-be-named fourth starter.I would like it better if they kept Blanton for a rotation of Halladay, Hamels, Blanton, and Happ.Lee, 31, was 14-13 last year with the Indians and Phillies with a 3.22 ERA. For his career he is 90-52.Halladay, 32, was 17-10 last year with the Blue Jays, with a 2.79 ERA and a career record of 148-76.If they Phillies and Halladay cannot agree on money, the deal will not get done.It would be nice to have a rotation of Halladay, Lee, Hamels, Blanton/Happ, but not likely.Who do you think the Phillies are The Yankees . Iron Fist” Klitschko easily defeated Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson by a unanimous decision Saturday afternoon at the PostFinance Arena in Bern, Switzerland. “I would have preferred a knockout but I’m happy because I won all 12 rounds,” said Klitschko, 38, a Ukrainian who owns the highest knockout percentage of any heavyweight boxing champion ever. “He’s not easy to hit.” After taking a four-year hiatus from boxing to recover from injuries, Klitschko (39-2, 37 KOs) has been extremely active and this weekend marked his fourth fight since he returned to the ring in October 2008. “When I first met Vitali I told him, ‘You won’t knock me out.’ It wasn’t a hard fight,” said Johnson, 30, a native of Asbury Park, New Jersey. “There are things we need to work on and we’re going to go home to the gym and polish them up.” Johnson (22-1-1, 9 KOs) was once considered America’s best heavyweight prospect mainly because of his dominant jab. Unfortunately, Johnson’s commanding jab is marginalized because the “Kingpin” badly lacks knockout power in either of his feathery fists. Curiously, Johnson is relatively well-built and he certainly appears to be a powerful specimen who could render one senseless. So, it is surprising that he has only been able to knockout nine of his 24 opponents. It is evident that Johnson needs to drastically improve his strength in order to become an elite prizefighter in the heavyweight division. On the contrary, Klitschko is an extremely potent pugilist and the only fighter that could seemingly give him a genuine contest at this stage is his younger brother, Wladimir, 33, who is currently the IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine heavyweight champion. Much to the disappointment of fight fans, the Klitschko brothers have adamantly stated that they will never face each other in the ring. However, both Vitali and Wladimir (53-3, 47 KOs) have expressed their desire to collectively own all four major heavyweight titles before the conclusion of 2010. In order for that to occur, one of the two brothers will need to trump cocky WBA world heavyweight champion David “The Hayemaker” Haye (23-1, 21 KOs). Haye, 29, a former undisputed cruiserweight champion, is a muscular British boxer who won his title in November by outscoring Nikolai Valuev on points. Haye is next scheduled to battle John “The Quiet Man” Ruiz in a mandatory defense of his title in April at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Ruiz, 37, a former two-time WBA world heavyweight champion who was raised in the Boston suburbs, will prove to be a difficult matchup for Haye. Nevertheless, Haye will ultimately prevail versus Ruiz (44-8-1-1, 30 KOs) and the stage will be prepared for the Klitschko’s to finalize their monopoly of the heavyweight division. “We have a dream and we will do our best to make our dream come true,” said Vitali Klitschko, who is also referred to by his supporters as “Iron Chin” because he has never been knocked down or received a standing eight count as a professional. “It will be very interesting in the next year.” 2010 could certainly become a “dream” year for the Klitschko’s. . Most athletes have good luck charms and superstitions.Lucky socks Not changing their underwear Rally monkeys.
Beards during playoffs. But Alex Rodriguez had a lucky charm and superstition in one, according to Yankees fans anyway. Kate Hudson was the “thing” that made A-Rod great in the 2009 season, helping him lead the Yankees to win the World Series. She was always around, and during the playoffs could be seen in the stands or even in the special dugout seats. This morning they reportedly broke up. So what happens now Does A-Rod go back to being just an okay player Do the Yankees go back to not winning the World Series Does Kate have to give back the gold “13” necklace he gave her after they won I can't answer these questions, but it did make me wonder about other superstitions. Remember when the new Yankee Stadium was being built and a Red Sox fan working on the site buried a David Ortiz jersey in the concrete So not to have the stadium cursed, and for various other reasons, the jersey was dug up and sent to a museum. The worker wanted to curse the Yankees. Former Yankee Wade Boggs was famously known for eating chicken before every game. So much so he became known as the “chicken man.” He also woke up at the same time every day, took exactly 100 ground balls in practice, and had a slew of other superstitions. There are also general baseball superstitions, like the “no-hitter” superstition. If a pitcher is in the process of pitching a no-hitter, it is bad luck to to mention that it is in progress. The superstition has gone so far some broadcasters will not mention the event but will rather have a camera pan in on the scoreboard. Unlike many other aspects of life, there is no No. 13 “curse” superstition (hence how and why Alex Rodriguez can wear the number). But the most famous superstition is the “Curse of the Bambino.” After the Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees in the 1919 offseason, it was believed selling him was the reason behind the Red Sox failure until their World Series win in 2004. Before the sale, the Red Sox were one of the most successful teams in baseball, winning the first World Series and five more after that. So does Kate need to stick around for the Yankees to stay as good as they were last year No way. That's why we have Jay-Z He'll never leave his Yankees.. I don't like to leave Columbus It's where my home is It's where my Buckeyes play. It is where seven Saturdays this fall I joined 105,000 other fans in the greatest venue in sports, The Shoe I especially don't like to leave Ohio to the north I hate Michigan I was breed to hate Michigan.

We left Friday evening around 4:30 arriving three hours later to our hotel, The Lamp Post Inn The hotel was around two miles from the stadium After we settled in we started drinking. You almost have to in Michigan, the place smells like sewer water We then decided to head to the bars We took a cab to campus to arrive at a bar named Ashleys. We stood in line for fifteen minutes before the host told us that we could go to the downstairs bar and forgo the line. Kudos to you for making us stand outside in the cold before making this information available. So we then headed to the downstairs bar where we were surprised to be greeted with a good amount of I-O's to our O-H's.The Bar was actually a neat little place. The place basically looked like a taller version of a basement at a 75 year old house. It had a bar that took about a quarter of the space, a golden tee machine, and a couple tables.
We settled in on one side of the bar ordering import after import until you couldn't tell the girls where from Michigan That's when two girls invited us to a house party. We told them we would be over then once we grabbed a cab we decided that going back to the room was probably in our best interest. We went to bed sometime around two or tree. We then awoke at 7am for the start of what would be a crazy day I walked to the lobby to get breakfast This breakfast went in but came right back out. I thought, to hell with it, so me and Kobee officially started off game day with two ice cold Miller Lites at 7:28am. Here we go.We pound a couple more brews before heading to the stadium.
